"Protecting the Gift" Book Group
What parents need to know and do to keep their kids safe.
In reading & discussing this book, we will will cover:
- Trusting your intuition
- What ARE big safety risks to your child
- What are NOT big safety risks to your child
- Sexual abuse--the facts, the risks, the signs, and protection
- What you can DO, give, & teach to your child to help them be safer
In each meeting, we'll have time to discuss the book and your thoughts and actions related to the material. We'll also talk about the feelings that come up, what to do with them, and how the process will make your whole family safer--and you more confident and secure. You can buy the book here, or check it out at the Austin Public Library (they have several copies.)
When: November 5, November 19, & December 3rd, from 12 to 1:00.
Cost: $40 for all 3 meetings if you register before October 15th. **Earlybird extended--you can register at the $40 rate through Friday, October 23rd
